Marianne Shorten was born in Ireland in 1981. She studied Fine Art in the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, graduating in 2004. She recently graduated from the MA in Fine Art in Central Saint Martins. She has exhibited in Ireland, England, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Austria and Hungary and has been awarded bursaries from the Irish Arts Council, Culture Ireland and the Federal State of Lower Austria. She is based in London.
